And only stubborn doctors do not stop telling that vacation in warm countries can lead not only to pleasure and outstanding impressions.
The mild season in the majority of warm countries starts namely in winter. Whether it is Egypt or Thailand. The climate at this time is the most comfortable. And to the northerners, who constantly lack sunlight, the trip to warm countries is essential.
The change of scenery is also the best way of wresting out of seasonal melancholy. Probably everybody knows the winter’s forerunners: prostration, apathy, easy fatigability. And namely the trip to one of the warm countries in winter – is the best way out. It is like getting into the ice-hole’s cold water from the hot bath house, it just braces up more and longer.
Due to such “contrast” vacation, people who have problems with superactivity of thyroid gland, lungs and those who have contradictions against strong heat and dry air which is peculiar to the exotic countries’ climate in summer season, can charge health. And fresh air, rich with the particles of mineral salts strengthens the respiratory system and affects beneficially the health of elderly people.
And the fact that bad mood and stresses disappear under the sun beams, shouldn’t be mentioned one more time. Warm sun, fresh air, tender sea will help you quickly abstract from everyday worries, to cheer up and to restore the mental tone. And different cruises, excursions and other resort entertainments will bring lots of positive emotions, which we lack in our everyday life.
But there are some negative sides in such a vacation. Stubborn doctors say that such contrasts can lead not only to pleasure and outstanding impressions but to the considerable harm to the health.
When planning a trip, we, as a rule, leave out of account some important nuances, which can reduce all the pluses of the trip to the zero. We forget that our organism is sensitized to certain climatic conditions, quick change of which can be harmful to the health. The most badly our organism responds to the change of climate in winter – namely then, when we get tired looking at the dull winter sky and dirty snowbanks, and suddenly find ourselves on the golden beaches of Egypt or Morocco. And here we start wondering, why are we knocked down by the sickness right in the middle of fantastic vacation.
One should take into consideration, that while moving from winter into summer, our organism has to have enough time to get sensitized to the new conditions, because our ‘inner clock’ still functions as before! On the sunniest shore there is a danger from the glut of ultraviolet rays, which can provoke the upraise of different skin diseases, allergic reactions and can also be dangerous for hypotensive and hypertensive people.
Besides that, if you are concerned by the way you look, be ready for the fact that active “alien” sun can dry up and weather the skin. Or, to the contrary, it will suffer from excessive sweat. This, in turn, is fraught with “obstructed” skin pores, pimples and other doubtful joys.
We also shouldn’t forget about the surprises that can be sprung by the quick switch from our “winter” carbohydrate diet to the hearty exotic living. The organism will have to mobilize as a matter of urgency to switch to the new type of metabolism, and besides that, “alien” water, unusual product composition and exotic combination of dishes can catch our alimentary system off balance.
One should also take into consideration that the process of reverse acclimatizing from summer into winter can turn out to be painful. If ignore this, there is a possibility of depression, prostration, anorexia, cold… and all the pleasure got in vacation will go down the drain.
In this respect, doctors suggest to “consult” not only ones wishes, but also health, when planning a winter vacation. If the health is all right, you can easily go – your organism will acclimatize quickly and painlessly.
And if it – organism – is weakened due to an illness or something else, it will be hard for it to adapt to “alien” environment. And in this case it is better to spend winter holidays in a more traditional way.
