World’s Best Tourist Trains Identified

The International Community of Train Travelers has published the list of 25 world’s best tourist trains. Positions within the top 25 of the best have not been distributed.

The list included: the European “Venice Simplon-Orient-Express” and “Danube Express”, the Swiss “Glacier Express”, the Spanish “El Transcantabrico” and “Al Andalus Express”, the Scottish “Royal Scotsman”, the Indian “Palace on Wheels”, “Toy Train” and “Deccan Odyssey”, the Chinese “ShangriLa Express”, “Eastern & Oriental Express” through South East Asia, the South African “Blue Train” and “Pride of Africa” (“Rovos Rail”), the Canadian “Royal Canadian Pacific”, “Canadian Rockies Steam Express”, “Rocky Mountaineer” and “Canadian”, the American “GrandLuxe Express”, the Mexican “Sierra Madre Express”, the Peruvian “Andean Explorer” and “Hiram Bingham”, the Australian “Ghan”, “Indian Pacific” and “Sunlander”, the Russian “The Golden Eagle – The Trans-Siberian Express”. The trains have been chosen judging by their level of comfort, service, panoramic route and the proposed tourist and entertainment program.
